2020 has been a crazy year for small business owners. With the holiday season just around the corner, this is a crucial time for sales. As an entrepreneur and La Crosse resident myself, I want to give back to other Wisconsin-based businesses. This December, I'm highlighting a small business each day for the first 12 days of the month. Each morning, check this blog for that day's small business.
This holiday season, show your support by following these businesses' social media accounts, shopping their products, and telling others about their services. This year has been tough for many, but we can come together to make these small businesses' holidays a little brighter.
On the First day of Christmas... Zen and Pow Studio - Onalaska, WI
This fitness and yoga studio is my favorite in the La Crosse area! The owner, Stephanie Helmers Ross, is a dear friend of mine who also hired Makeup By Sarah Koblitz for her recent wedding. They focus on mindfulness and care about their clients well-being, inside and out. This season, they're offering '12 Days of Fitmas' starting November 30th. They also have a great boutique for gifts.

On the Second day of Christmas... A Blonde and a Bobbin - Online Shop
As a brand new small business, A Blonde and a Bobbin is already crushing it! The owner Allie launched her handmade scrunchies just before Thanksgiving. She is currently selling multiple sizes, patterns, and fabrics. They would be the perfect stocking stuffer for any lady in your life. My favorite set is the 'Audra Collection' named after my friend and the owner's sister.

On the Third day of Christmas... Northwoods Yarn Co. - Online Shop
Owned by two past Makeup By Sarah Koblitz clients, Northwoods Yarn Co. is an adorable online shop. The ladies behind the business are an a set of sister-in-laws, Emily and Devon. Icecap knit beanies, warm knitted socks, chapsticks, soy candles and more! I am happy to support these kind, friendly, and extremely talented ladies.
On the Fourth day of Christmas... BohoTrippin - Online Shop
This online shop takes custom orders from clients for artistic pieces. One of my lifelong friends, Emma, opened the shop to share her love for arts and crafts with the world. This holiday season, they are showcasing beautiful boho ornaments for purchase. You can even contact the shop for custom requests.
On the Fifth day of Christmas... Carbon Cannabis - La Crosse, WI and Online
As a family run business, Carbon Cannabis puts the needs of both Wisconsin farmers and consumers first. Owners Austin Wszolek, Max Weber, Stephanie Weber, and Matt Boshcka operate out of the historic Rubber Mill in La Crosse, WI. This holiday season, they're selling products online, including a great gift set perfect for trying a few products at once!
On the Sixth day of Christmas... MAD Hooks - Online Shop
A play on her initials, small business owner Molly runs MAD Hooks - an ADORABLE online headband site! Molly's headbands don't slide, pinch, or ever get uncomfortable. She sells both solid colors and patterns. Children's sizes are also available. Way too cute to pass up this Christmas! Use code MBSK for 10% off.
On the Seventh day of Christmas... Remedy Bloody Mary Mix - WI, MN, and Online
Family-owned AND operated! Doesn't get better than that. John and Mitzi began their business in 2012 out of La Crosse, WI and now sell their bloody mary mix all over Wisconsin and Minnesota. A great gift for the cocktail lover in your life or to bring as a hostess gift. Gluten-free, vegan, and free of high fructose corn syrup.
On the Eighth day of Christmas... Bella Botanicals - Online Shop
You all *highly* suggested I include this small business in the '12 Days of Christmas' and I can see why! A woman-owned business, Bella Botanicals creates and sells organic and natural skincare. Owner Leslie is proud to find other "women-preneuers" to collaborate with and I am happy to be one of them. Leslie's business values sustainability, working with Wisconsin farmers, and creating skincare that nourishes and renews the skin.

On the Ninth day of Christmas... Olive Juice Quilts - Onalaska, WI
One of the first small businesses I ever interacted with! Olive Juice Quilts will always have a special place in my heart. I have very fond memories learning to sew and creating quilts as a kid here. The owner Diane and her team are SO knowledgeable and will help you every step of the way. Their service and passion are something you won't find at a box store.
The following photo of me and my husband was taken the Summer of 2014, when we were just 17 years old. Jordan's mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer and we wanted to gift her a quilt made by the two of us. OJQ helped us every step of the way and Jordan's mom, Kathy, still cherishes this quilt today!
On the Tenth day of Christmas... Wildly Authentic - Online Shop
Today's small business is another fan favorite recommended by all of you! Wildly Authentic is an amazing brand ran by small business owner, Laura. Laura specializes in mindfulness, manifesting, and macramé. Her one of a kind pieces can be custom ordered on her online Etsy shop. She also wrote a book titled "The Battle" addressing the issues of anxiety, depression, and self-doubt as a mother. Check Laura's website here for all the amazing things she has to offer.
On the Eleventh day of Christmas... In All Things Creative - Online Services and Shop
I have had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with this small business for many years. My website designer, Rachel, is a freelance creator and handletterer. She recently gave my site a fresh new update. Rachel has a true passion for graphic design. She takes on your business' branding as if it were her own. She also sells her creations on her Etsy site.

On the Twelfth day of Christmas... Charlotte's Bridal and Formal Wear - La Crosse, WI
I am very honored to highlight Charlotte's Bridal, my very favorite bride wear shop, as the final small business in this series. This La Crosse based business is owned by mother and daughter, Kathy and Jenn. They have a true passion for making brides' dreams come true. Their favorite moments include making women feel celebrated and introducing them to the dress of their dreams. This is one small business making memories that will last their clients' lifetime.
I do have to say, I may be slightly biased towards Charlotte's Bridal... I found my very own bridal gown at the shop in June of 2019. I am so proud to be collaborating with them in the upcoming year!
A very big *thank you* to all the small businesses who were highlighted in my first 12 Days of Christmas series! Writing this blog piece the past few weeks has been such a joy. I have met so many new business owners and am proud to share their fantastic work.
If you haven't already, please consider purchasing your holidays gifts from local, small shops this season. Our community has been blessed to have so many!
Merry Christmas to all of you!
